I love liquorice and thats why I ordered this bundle. I was a bit disappointed with the taste of sone of it. The Pontefract cakes and some of the chocolate covered liquorice were really bitter. The white mint ones were too minty and the small animal ones were too hard.

I'd foolishly allowed a few weeks to slip by without licko treats, so this delivery of three different packages was long awaited, and deliriously received. When I opened them I had to fight off three grand-children (they won't try that again!) to keep them safe for this ancient glutton. They were even better than I remembered, and I did reward each children with licko treat...the smaller ones, of course.

The delivery was late, but that was not the company's fault that was solely down to Royal Mail. I have to say it is the best liquorice we have tried.
We bought the bundle which as I understand, had some of the gluten free version in the mixed packs, but unfortunately my husband has to be very careful with cross contamination with gluten - I should have checked, so not blaming the company.
I will buy him the gluten free varieties for him in due course.
Overall, we are happy with our first purchase and will buy again.

None of them are gluten free why do they need to add wheat Lacrids don't.
Correction there are over 20 gluten free types on the site just that the mixed packs all contain something with gluten. Suggest they do a gluten free mix.

I ordered the Discovery liquorice bundle, there was a little delay in shipping due to staff sickness, but I was kept informed about this, so that wasn’t a problem.
The products themselves are very nice, good quality liquorice, nice and soft, a good variety and I love the savoury salty taste mixed with a sweet fruit flavour, it works so well.
However, aside from the chocolate covered liquorice bag, there was a lot of repetition in the bags, which I was surprised about, I expected to get 3 completely different bags.
Also, the cost works our at £2.35 per 100g, which on reflection I personally think is rather expensive. I have seen several very similar products recently in a traditional sweety shop and the cost per 100g was around £1.50 (£25.50 equivalent). So I think it’s overpriced for what it is.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s lovely stuff and I’ve not seen a lot of the foam or jelly type products or chocolate covered liquorice before, and maybe the chocolate covered liquorice is why the bundle is a little expensive.
I personally would only buy some of the products again, as a special treat or as a present or if there was a really good deal on.
In my opinion If you love liquorice and want to try something different or get a nice gift for yourself or someone else, then this is worth buying.
