The licorice is really good with generous portions, which probably explains why there are only 16 drawers, not the usual 24. No problem for us though, we started it 16 days before my husbands birthday on the 13th December instead!

Love my liquorice advent calendar ... I was so excited when I saw it available that I didn't actually read the description so got a shock on 1st December to find it only had 16 drawers! Still ... fantastic quality & delicious liquorice! Only thing to improve it would be to add the rest of drawers to make it a 24 day advent calendar!

As this is an advent calendar I obviously haven't opened it yet, but I was thrilled to receive it as I love this liquorice. However we were baffled by the 16 doors. We've heard of 12, 24 and 25 day calendars but 16 seems bizarrely random. My other half has offered to refill the first 9 doors with other surprises so I don't run out beyond the 16 December.
